Lindsay Kokai, a librarian from the Westport Rd. LFPL branch, will host a Japanese themed Family Story Time this Saturday, the 25th.  Starting at 1:00 PM, children ages 2-12 will engage in an hour long story session inspired by the opera "Madame Butterfly" that is currently in town.  Parents that bring a child to the session, will automatically be entered to a drawing for free opera tickets!

Children will listen to Japanese folktales and participate in a butterfly-making craft project.  Snacks will also be provided for the budding book-worms.

Next month, Kokai will also host an Edgar Allan Poe themed Family Story Time where children will be introduced to Poe's works, fall-themed stories, and create a pumpkin face mask.  This event will take place October 30th at 1:00 PM.  Snacks will also be provided at this event.  There's sure to be a "Tell-Tale-Heart" or "Raven" in the room somewhere.
