“The original Yuri Tremler acrylic over the chest picks up the colors in the drapes, while the feminine wavy frame contrasts with the clean masculine lines of the chest beneath it.”
“The textures of the cream shag rug and the chenille upholstered couch contrast with the slick surfaces in the rest of the room.”
“I like color combinations that are different. For the color-block, silk taffeta drapes, I picked up warm colors from the rest of the home – pumpkin, persimmon and chocolate brown – and combined them with aqua and cream. A felt interliner gives them that extra bit of yumminess.”
“I like furnishings that take up space physically, but not visually. The silver-leaf chest and mirrored tables are good examples. Dark wood pieces would make the room appear smaller.”
