
Science Hill Inn will host its second International foodie event. “Das Meal at Science Hill” featuring German fare with a Southern flair on Wednesday, January 28 from 5:30 pm 8:00 pm.
Das Meal will be prepared by Chef Ellen Gill McCarty and hosted by Michael Beckmann and Caroline Knop benefiting Apron Inc. Chef Ellen states, “Fighting the fight against Cancer was not easy, having the help of Apron was unbelievable and I want to give back to my fellow friends in the industry assisting them with their battle!”
The food loving trio will combine their love for authentic German cuisine and drink with local ingredients to create a fusion like no other. The four course meal features - KY Country Ham and Sauerkraut Balls and Homemade Bier Cheese and Pretzels- with tastings of select Gordon Biersch biers in the historic courtyard. Homemade recipes from the Hubbuch/Rueff Family for Goetta (oatmeal sausage) featured in Pierogis and KY Grown Pork (beer soaked) Schnitzel with Spätzle and Apple Sauce. German Chocolate Cake will finish Das Meal.
