Three Louisville families - the Klausings, Foushees and Sweeneys - each have children, ranging from 11 months to 8 years old, with cystic fibrosis. Cystic Fibrosis is a life-shortening genetic disease that primarily affects the lungs and digestive system with an estimated 30,000 children and adults in the United States currently diagnosed. The Klausings, whose 8-year-old son Luke suffers from Cystic Fibrosis, have been highly involved with cystic fibrosis research throughout Luke's whole life. He was diagnosed when he was five days old.

These three families have come together with Cure CF Inc., a Louisville non-profit, for an event to raise funds for a cure and celebrate the uniqueness of Louisville's culinary and brewing scenes. CRAFT 2015, presented by Anthem, will take place October 10 from 7-11 p.m. at the 2nd Street Bridge Streetscape in downtown Louisville.

Many of the finest breweries and restaurants have signed on to be a part of this event. The evening will boast beer from over ten Kentucky breweries including, Against the Grain, BBC, Blue Stallion, Country Boy Brewing, Falls City, Flat 12 Bierworks, Goodwood, Gordon Biersch, Great Flood, Sterling, and West 6th. Guests will also be able to enjoy pizza from Angio’s, BBC, Bearno’s, Boombozz, Diorio’s, Gordon Biersch, Hometown Pizza, Impellizzeri’s, Johnny Brusco’s, Johnny V’s, Loui Loui’s, Mellow Mushroom, Papa John’s, Pizza Place and Spinelli’s.

There will also be a live auction part of the event with experiences and items up for grabs like floor tickets to University of Louisville and University of Kentucky basketball games, autographed memorabilia from My Morning Jacket, and a one-of-a-kind Bourbon experience with Liquor Barn’s spirit expert, Brad Williams, for you and three friends.

Tickets to CRAFT 2015 cost $55 before October 3 and $65 after. Tickets include food and drink samples and can be bought at craftlouisville.com or at the door the night of the event.
