The Derby Festival Chow Wagon opened yesterday with much fanfare.  Mayor Jerry Abramson and KDF Chair Dan Owens opened the event by purchasing the first Pegasus Pins and corndogs of the day.  They were accompanied by Gus & Peggy Pegasus, the 2005 Royal Court, 5 horses from the Jefferson Co. Sheriff's Mounted Posse and a square dance group.  The country music of Dalton played to a damp, but energetic crowd.

Note: The Chow Wagon will remain open unless severe weather threatens or driving rain is sustained. Click here for a complete band listing.
