The Jewish Community Center’s Centerstage will present performances of the musical, Chicago, starting next week. Chicago is a Tony Award-winning play and Oscar-winning movie. Set in the 1920s, the story follows the glamorization of criminals, specifically female criminals.

Two merry murderesses, Velma Kelly and Roxie Hart, are both attempting to use their newfound celebrity status (after allegedly murdering men) to jumpstart their careers in show business, but first they have to get out of the slammer with the help of lawyer Billy Flynn. With catchy and iconic musical numbers like "He Had it Comin'"  and "Chicago," not to mention captivating flapper style, this musical is sure to provide a night of bawdy entertainment.

The musical will run from September 4th-20th, and tickets start at just $20. For more information, including how to get discount tickets, visit jewishlouisville.org. Check back with Louisville.com for a review of opening night!
