With its culture of drinking and numerous distilleries, breweries and bars, there’s nothing Louisville likes to celebrate more than Prohibition Repeal Day (except maybe the Derby). And there’s no better way to celebrate than by attending the 3rd annual Louisville Swig, hosted by Louisville Magazine and sponsored by Four Roses and Universal Linen. This food and drink tasting affair will showcase local bourbon, brandy, craft beer, wine and more alongside your favorite local food vendors. Join us from 7-10 p.m. at the Henry Clay for the best Louisville has to offer.
Entertainment for the evening will include live music by Billy Goat Strut Revue, back by popular demand, and the New Lou Swing Dance Community will show you a thing or two on the dance floor. As if that isn’t enough, the Old Forester Speakeasy will return and Cirque Louis will reveal their newest apparatus. Finally, Volume XI of Louisville Magazine’s ever-popular Swig issue will debut at the party, and all attendees will receive a free copy.
In line with our Repeal Day theme, flaunt your inner flapper and dapper dandy and come dressed in your finest 1920s’ Prohibition-era attire. It’s not required, but why not have fun and go a little wild?
Tickets for Swig are $50 each online ($55 at the door) and can be purchased here. A portion of the proceeds will benefit CASA, a non-profit that promotes advocacy for abused and neglected children by recruiting and training community volunteers to advocate on children’s behalf. Get your tickets today before they sell out!
Come swig with us. After all, a little party never killed nobody.
