Looking for a way to inject some culture into your family routine this weekend?

    You’re in luck!

This Sunday, September 8, from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Locust Grove and the Louisville Children’s Museum will be hosting a family picnic day at Locust Grove.

At $6.00 a carload, all proceeds will go to support the creation of the Louisville Children’s Museum. Bring a picnic lunch and a blanket or purchase food from Salsarita’s and Lil’ Cheezers food trucks and treats from Snowies Shaved Ice.

There will be learning activities, tours of the historic home, craft demonstrations and historical games. There will be a professional photographer on site to take family photographs for an additional charge.

After enjoying your picnic, you can head over to the Montessori School of Louisville and continue your family day of culture.

Between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., the first season of Classical 90.5 Summer Listening will be celebrated at the Montessori School of Louisville. There will be bouncy castles, giveaways, grab bags, ice cream and live performances by the Concentus String Quartet and more.

Admission is free to this event.
