Bundle up the kids in jeans and their favorite fall fleeces and head out to Blackacre State Nature Preserve and Historic Homestead this Sunday, November 7th, from 1-4 p.m. to celebrate the fall harvest. The fall harvest, giver of all orange goodness: butternut squash, pumpkin, yams, the Giants' jerseys, falling leaves... Ease into the season of giving thanks by breathing in the beauty of fall and celebrating the miracle of mother nature at this Harvest Party.
Go back in time to a simpler life with family-friendly activities such as corn husk doll making, three-legged and sack races, storytelling, horse and buggy rides, nature walks, and pond experiments. Not sure what a pond experiment entails, but they've caught my interest. Sip hot apple cider and nibble on cookies while fiddles play in the background. Craft tables will allow you to create a Thanksgiving table centerpiece early. Relax and breathe, enjoy some peace, create like a Pilgrim.

Admission to the event is $3 for adults, $2 for children with a $10 maximum family cap.
