The Louisville Cardinals played the Houston Cougars at home in Papa John's Cardinal Stadium tonight, the first game at home in almost a month, and the first home game since the heartbreaking loss to University of Central Florida on October 18th.
After taking an early lead in the first quarter, the Cards struggled to score and eventually gave up a 46 yard field goal to the Cougars in the second quarter. Six minutes later, a touchdown and extra point took the Cougars into the lead. The score at half time was Houston 13, Louisville 10.
After the half, the Cardinals delivered a touchdown after only 4 minutes, and a field goal late in the third quarter sealed the deal.
Dominique Brown led the team in rushing yards with 27 carries for a total of 127 yards, while Teddy Bridgewater threw for a total of 203 yards.
The Cards final home game of the season is next Saturday at noon against Memphis. Kickoff is at noon.
See ya there, Cards fans!
