It was confirmed on Sunday night that the Georgia Bulldogs defensive coordinator Todd Grantham would leave the Dawgs to join new head coach Bobby Petrino as the defense coordinator for the Cardinals. ESPN.com's Joe Schad reports that Grantham has received a five-year deal to be paid $1 million dollars per year.

Grantham has previous defensive coordinating experience in the NFL with Dallas, Cleveland, Houston and Indianapolis, as well as in college at Michigan State and Virginia Tech, ESPN confirms.

Under Grantham’s defense coordinating, the Bulldogs defense finished fifth nationally in total defense in 2011. He had spent four seasons with the Bulldogs.

In the past week the Cardinals have received a new head coach and now a new defense coordinator that will together, along with the other current members of the coaching staff, lead the Cardinals to victory next season in the ACC.
