Saturday November 8, 2008 Cafe Lou Lou officially opens in the Highlands. The St. Matthews favorite is opening a second location, on historic Douglass Loop. In the face of all the recent restaurant closing news an independent restaurant doing well enough to open a second location is surely welcome news.
From the peeks I've taken inside the windows it looks like they've taken great care to make sure the new Lou Lou has the comfortable, funky feel of the St. Matthews Lou Lou including brightly colored walls and a very cozy bar area.
Since Douglass Loop happens to be in walking distance to my house you can be sure I'll check out the new Cafe Lou Lou posthaste and report back to you.
