Self Publishing Workshop with Peggy DeKay

Author of Self Publishing For Virgins

Writers self publish for three reasons: money, creative control and timing. This class will lead you through the process of self publishing from manuscript to marketing your finished book. Using CreateSpace and Microsoft Word, an author can quickly self-publish a book with little money and limited computer skills. Whether an aspiring author or a published author looking for a better way, this class is for you. (excerpt from the website)

    About Lynn Tincher

Lynn studied Theater Arts in College in hopes of becoming a Drama/English teacher. She has written articles in local newspapers and travel brochures. Now, she is focused on writing novels, short stories, articles and poems. She also visits schools and writers groups to help encourage other writers. Not only does Lynn look forward to sharing her stories, she is also focused on helping other new writers in their efforts to get published. Visit Lynn’s website at http://www.lynntincher.com/ and you may contact her at lynntincher@me.com. She is also the Louisville Creative Writing Examiner on Examiner.com and Books Writer for Louisville.com. Her inspiration comes from some of her favorite authors, Robert Powell, Nora Roberts, Piers Anthony and J.K. Rowling. (Yes, she's a Potter fan!) Lynn opened the doors to Otherworld Publications in 2009. After years of frustration with the publishing industry, another local publishing company, Blackwyrm Fiction, published Lynn’s first novel, Afterthoughts. Since then, her second novel, Left in the Dark, was released from them and she is currently writing the third, Buried Deep. In September of 2010, Lynn was diagnosed with Brugada Syndrome, a rare and fatal genetic heart disease. She is determined to help spread the word about Brugada Syndrome and hopes to help others who are dealing with it. Lynn now lives in Prospect, Kentucky with her husband. She has three wonderful children, Emily, Aaron and Becca and two fantastic dogs named Luke and Mara.
