The Keeneland Fall Meet gets underway Friday, Oct. 5, but now is the time to reserve your spot for a day of bourbon and horses. For three Saturdays in October, Woodford Reserve is the place to start your day of Keeneland racing. Woodford Reserve, 7855 McCracken Pike, is hosting brunch on Oct. 6, 13 and 20 at its Versailles, Kentucky distillery.

The day begins with a morning tour of the distillery where guests will discover the five sources of flavors that make Woodford Reserve bourbon unique. Meanwhile, Chef-in-Residence Ouita Michel and her culinary team will prepare a gourmet brunch featuring Kentucky Proud products like extra creamy Weisenberger cheese grits and bourbon and honey orange glazed ham. Brunch would not be complete without a Woodford Reserve cocktail.

Of course, you can’t leave for Keeneland without knowing which horses to bet. Ellis Starr, a nationally syndicated racing analyst and the National Racing Analyst for Equibase, will be on hand to provide handicapping advice and selections for the day’s races.

The details: The cost of the brunch and handicapping package is $35 per person. Tours, which began at 9:30 a.m. and 9:45 a.m., are limited to 50 guests and reservations are required. Brunch will be offered beginning at 11:00 a.m. Reservations can be made by contacting Marnie Walters at (859) 897-1939 or marnie_walters@b-f.com. Only guests who are 21 years of age or older may attend. A credit card number must be given to secure a reservation. Credit cards will be charged the full amount at 9:00 AM EST on Wednesday, Oct. 3 (for the Oct. 6 event), 9:00 AM EST on Wednesday, Oct. 10 (for the Oct. 13 event), and 9:00 AM EST Wednesday, Oct. 17 (for the Oct. 20 event). Guests can cancel their reservation any time before that date and time specified above with no penalty. However, a refund will not be issued, nor be applied to a future event if you cancel after the date and time specified above.
