    Bit to Do

Finally, it seems, winter has come to Louisville. It’s cold. It’s even sort of snowy. Not exactly swimming pool weather, right? Well, luckily, at Mary T. Meagher Aquatic Center, it is always swimming pool weather with their heated indoor pool that remains at a constant 82 degrees.

With the kids off this week from school, why not head over to Mary T. Meagher on Thursday, December 27, at 6:30 for their December “Dive-in” Movie, Disney Pixar’s “Brave?” “Brave” is the story of the young Scottish princess, Merida, who, in searching for her own way in life creates some mayhem along the way and learns a few lessons. My six year old son and I saw it in the movie theatre and we both absolutely loved it. So, rest assured that even though the hero is female, the story will appeal to both girls and boys and well, adults, too.

The movie is free and guests may bring a water tube (noodle), or can use one of the center’s water tubes on a first-come, first-served basis. Vending machines are also available on site.

So, escape the winter temperatures a bit and head to Scotland, by way of the Mary T. Meagher Center, with your friends and family this Thursday.

Be sure to bring a towel. Or a tartan. It’s up to you.
