Bourbon Podcasts For Your Listening Pleasure

I’m a sporadic podcast listener, though I do host the Louisville Family Fun podcast on Louisville.am. I’ve found that listening to podcasts is a great way to occupy your mind while you work out, making the time seem to pass more quickly. There’s no shortage of material out there thanks to modern technology, so you have a lot of options when it comes to bourbon podcasts.  Here are three of my favorites:

    1. The Bourbon Pursuit podcast is brand new hosted by Ryan Cecil and Kenny Coleman. This is a great podcast because they focus on capturing the stories of the bourbon industry rather than just tasting notes or marketing lore. They’ve only been at it a few short months, but already they’ve scored some great interviews, including Wes Henderson, Harlan Wheatley, and me. That’s right, and I’m podcast 007. Go give it a listen.
    2. The Bottom of the Barrel Bourbon podcast hosted by Chris Lough and Darren Monroe is also great about capturing the stories of the industry. I was listening to this interview with Albert Schmid a couple of weeks ago and found myself thanking Lincoln Henderson for getting him into bourbon in the first place (good story, just listen). They also cover tasting notes and news, making it a well-rounded podcast.
    3. Whisky Cast with Mark Gillespie has episodes numbering in the 500s, making it the longest running podcast about whiskey I know about. Gillespie gets great interviews and asks the tough questions. This is where I go when I want to get the inside scoop about something new in the whiskey industry.

There are tons of options out there for learning about bourbon, and these podcasts are high up there on the list. Do you have a whiskey podcast you’d like me to hear? Tweet me @LouGirl502!
