Last summer's success with their Wharf Parties means that the festivals will carry over to 2009 on the waterfront. The Belle of Louisville/Spririt of Jefferson team has a great area at their disposal just onshore from the river cruising vessels. So once per month this summer, they're loading up the wharf with food, music, and other attractive festivities in an attempt to maximize the "staycation" mindset of the city.

This Kentucky native is country to the bone, but his urban experience is obvious. As the singer aims to put the honky-tonk back into the country music scene, he flips and tumbles and performs high-flying handstands, leaping into the crowd then back onto the stage to sing about fast women and beautiful horses.
JD SHELBURNE PERFORMING JULY 18
Nashville Recording Artist J.D. Shelburne, a ‘Hot Country Act’ based out of Taylorsville, KY is gaining media attention hitting clubs and honkytonks all over the southeast area as a top new breakthrough country artist.
OLIVIA HENKEN PERFORMING AUGUST 15
A hometown girl, born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, this up and coming singer is ‘Big Star Bound’! With numerous credits from musicals to national appearances, Olivia definitely has the talent to succeed. Her high energy and charisma shine throughout her performances.
You can enjoy the wharf party for awhile, drop $20 to climb on board one of the ships and take a cruise, then head back to shore to wrap up the evening right where you started.
