You are invited to The Peace Education Program's eighth annual Be the Change Community Choir and Concert on April 21st celebrating the organization's 30th Anniversary of of "Resolving Conflict Peacefully." Choir leader, Cynthia Fletcher, has teamed up with choir founder and active community musician, Harry Pickens, to join in on the program as well as other past "Be the Change" artists John Gage, JD Green, and Carol Kraemer with emcee Dawne Gee. This event is a charity benefit in which choir members are encouraged to raise funds.

Each year a new group of concerned citizens assemble to create the Be the Change Community Choir. People in the community come together each year to show their support for the organization's work by giving their time towards a few rehearsals which are followed up with a performance displaying their hard work. Members of the choir find this event to be rewarding in more ways than one. They are supporting a great cause, enjoying making music together, and helping create a diverse and creative community experience. This year the concert and 30th Anniversary Celebration will be held on Sunday, April 21 at First Unitarian Church at 3pm. This event is free to the public although donations are encouraged to support their mission.

For the past 30 years The Peace Education Program has been instilling peaceful conflict resolution skills on young people and adults. Thanks to supporters in the community, the program has grown to include a network of adults in 88 schools and 67 community sites who are dedicated to teaching young people how to solve their conflicts nonviolently.
