School may have just started back but there's no need to get upset. Summer still holds a lot of tricks up her sleeve before Fall takes over.  There are plenty of events left that reminds us all of the glory days of summer. Here's a list of must do things before the back to school blues take over:

The Kentucky State Fair. Tons of free concerts, with a few big names such as Montgomery Gentry, and Theory of a Deadman plus a lot of of great special guests. Lots of fun, family activities as well that can keep the whole family satisfied and entertained all day. Tickets for general admission cost $10 (depending on age) and parking is $8 daily.

Brew at the Zoo. Saturday August 24th the Zoo hosts a slew of samplings from local regional microbreweries. There will also be various wines and tasty treats from local restaurants.  This event unfortunately is sold out. But if you were lucky enough to snag a ticket, this event is a summer must!

Pink Tie Ball/ Pink Lounge 2013 will also be held on Saturday. The Marriott East is holding the 9th annual, black tie gala. The baseball themed event wants to encourage its participants to "knock it out". Tickets start at $75.

If you're in the mood to let your hair down and completely forget your back to school blues, Tengo Sed Cantina Back to school Bash is Friday August 23rd. Free cover all night, and drink specials with your college ID. If you're a struggling college student, no worries, Gary's College Bookstore is giving away gift cards. What more could you ask for?
