Louisville is an incredible place to be right now if you’re a foodie, and Andrew Zimmern of ‘Bizarre Foods’ has taken notice - this week, he is filming a Kentucky episode of his spin-off show ‘Bizarre Foods America’, which aired its first season this year. The Kentucky episode is scheduled to air in the Spring on the Travel Channel!
Yesterday, Andrew visited with Edward Lee at his restaurant, 610 Magnolia, for a game dinner, and his crew and producers have checked out several of our local favorites for a segment on trendy restaurants around Louisville, including Decca, Taco Punk, Seviche, and The Blind Pig.
Tonight, Andrew will be visiting Proof on Main for an exclusive Eater Launch Party and Garage Bar on Market for some delicious pizza. This would be a great evening to dine at Garage Bar and maybe get to be on tv! Filming will begin around 4:30.
Now, I know you’re wondering because I wondered, too – why is that guy who makes a living off of eating the strangest and grossest things imaginable coming to dine at places like the Garage Bar? Well, his new show seeks to showcase local trends and neat new restaurants instead of making us watch Andrew sample jellied yak nipples.

Hope to see you out tonight. Wear your slickest duds – you might end up on Bizarre Foods America!
