Despite the usual rainy gloom of March in Kentuckiana, Easter and the Frankfort Avenue Easter Parade are right around the corner. This year's Frankfort Avenue Easter Parade, the 23rd held annually, will happen next Saturday, April 4, from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. The parade will run from Kennedy to Haldeman Avenue.

Anyone who wants to participate in the Easter Parade should register in front of the St. Mark's Church, 2822 Frankfort Avenue by 11 a.m. on the day of the parade. Parade line-up is first come first serve.

There will be multiple street closings for the 2015 Frankfort Avenue Easter Parade. Both lanes of Frankfort Avenue will be closed to traffic from approximately 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. from Stilz Avenue to Haldeman Avenue for the safety of the children involved.  There will be no parking on the street at that time and the side streets will be closed to Frankfort Avenue as well. Street closings will also occur on Kennedy Avenue from Grinstead to Frankfort Avenue, Crescent Court around the court and Crescent Avenue from English to Frankfort will be closed to traffic while the line-up of the parade is starting, from about 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
