    Q. Describe the space you’re in right now.

    HD: “I am in a guacamole-green room with a futon and a large metal bird.”

    Q. Earliest childhood memory?

    HD: “I recall dreaming that a tiger looked into my window, then waking up with a bloody finger.”

    Q. The greatest rap lyric?

    HD: “I’ve always loved LL Cool J’s: You’re the type of guy that gets suspicious/I’m the type of guy that says, ‘The puddin’ is delicious.’”

    Q. How did you make your first buck?

    HD: “I cannot recall, but I know I spent it on a little wooden glider.”

    Q. If you were mayor for a day, what would you do?

    HD: “Is the regular mayor taking over my life? If so, I’d keep a sharp eye on that regular mayor.”

    Q. When you were younger, what did you want to be when you grew up?

    HD: “Scientist, because I did not know it was hard.”

    Q. In one sentence, what do you actually do all day in your job?

    HD: “I tune, maintain and build pipe organs.”

    Q. Favorite thing hanging on the walls of your home?

    HD: “A framed child’s drawing I found in the garbage.”

    Q. What’s on your credit-card statement?

    HD: “Tears. Just kidding. I didn’t cry on it. Besides, I meant tears — like I tore it up. I wasn’t crying.”

    Q. What makes you laugh?

    HD: “Lying, being in danger, saying to someone, ‘Could you get a picture of me with this bush?’ when walking by a bush.”

    Q. The first thing on your bucket list?

    HD: “A big one. A big bucket. Go big or go home when it comes to buckets, I say.”

    Q. Favorite movie scene?

    HD: “Either ‘Something Good’ from The Sound of Music or any scene from The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas.”

    Q. Biggest regret?

    HD: “That Jason Priestley helped the Barenaked Ladies become successful here in the States instead of finishing out the final two seasons of Beverly Hills, 90210.”

    Q. If forced to get a tattoo today, what would you get?

    HD: “I’d try something slimming.”

    Q. Something you wish you had known when you were younger?

    HD: “People are mostly pretty good.”

    Q. Three people on the guest list to your ideal dinner party?

    HD: “Internet-famous teens Nash Grier and Cameron Dallas and the late Nigerian writer Chinua Achebe.”

    Q. Something unexpected you love in Louisville?

    HD: “The General Store, a small venue on Shelby Street.”

    Q. What’s a good “Would you rather…”?

    HD: “Would you rather live in a magnificent castle or be made into a splendid crab-cake sandwich?”

    Q. What would you do if you won the lottery?

    HD: “I’d draw a modest salary from it and set up some sort of mutual fund, baby! Try to find ways to diversify it too, I guess! Yay money!”

    Q. What makes somebody a Louisvillian?

    HD: “If you were conceived under a blue moon in the shimmering waters of Beargrass Creek, you qualify as a Louisvillian.”

    Q. If you could write it yourself, what would your headstone say?

    HD: “Score one for my haters.”
