ABOUT THE FLOYD COUNTY ANIMAL RESCUE LEAGUE (FCARL)
The Floyd County Animal Rescue League (FCARL) is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization, which means your membership and donations are tax deductible. FCARL is overseen by a Board of Directors that is elected each December to serve for the upcoming year.
The Floyd County Animal Rescue League (FCARL) has been working to protect the animals of Floyd County for over 30 years. The support of its members and the community have made it possible for us to realize some great achievements. One of our biggest successes so far was the construction of the new shelter in New Albany.
One of our current goals is to dramatically decrease the number of adoptable animals who are euthanized each year at the city shelter. We said from the beginning that we didn't want to build a better place for animals to die - our goal is to find a loving forever-home for every single adoptable animal who, through no fault of their own, ends up at the city shelter.
Mission:
To educate the community in the humane treatment of animals and responsible and enjoyable pet ownership.
To reduce the number of unwanted animals in Floyd County.
To assist and support the New Albany Floyd County Animal Shelter.
