Founded in 2009, Barktown Rescue, located in Bardstown, has placed over 1,600 dogs and puppies into loving homes. Their largest expense is the vet care for the animals that are rescued. Pets cannot be adopted until they are spayed or neutered, and often additional vet expenses are incurred for sick or injured animals.
