Guests at the Alzheimer’s Association’s annual “Making Memories” dinner and auction will enjoy tasting a selection of Brown-Forman spirits, and will have the opportunity to bid on luxurious auction items. The event will be held at Horseshoe Casino in Southern Indiana on Saturday, February 25, 2012.
More than 30 Kentuckiana students from grades K-12 were honored tonight at The Henry Clay for their artistic achievement in the Kentucky Derby Festival Student Art Contest. For the sixth year in a row, the event was held in conjunction with the Festival's annual Poster Premiere. The students' winning artworks were also displayed at the poster unveiling event, held prior to the Student Art Contest Awards.
Forty-four community leaders were selected to participate in the Bingham Fellows Class of 2012. They will use their skills, broad knowledge base and range of experience to explore how to maximize the family’s role in each child’s academic life and what role the community can play. As the community rallies around the goal of 55,000 Degrees and creating a college-going culture, the 2012 Bingham Fellows will continue the program’s over 20-year legacy of tackling the most timely and impactful challenges of our region.
