Located in St Mathews (138 Chennoweth Lane) Open since 1832, Merkley Kendrick is not only the oldest jeweler in the state, but the third oldest in the nation.

The Merkley Kendrick jewelry family wants you to join them in celebrating the retirement of its former operating owner Bill Merkley. But don’t worry, Merkley Kendrick isn’t closing its door anytime soon, it’s quite the opposite.

It’s only fitting to celebrate former owner operator Bill Merkley’s years of service to the community with the largest sale the store has seen in nearly 40 years. Mr. Merkley is not just retiring, he’s helping to create a rebirth of Merkley Kendrick Jewelers, by turning over the reigns to his son Brian S. Merkley.

Who, according to Bill “is doing a great job and has great people working with him.”. As the new man in charge, Brian is focusing on carrying on the firms 178 year heritage by not only continuing past relationships formed by his father, but starting new ones with a younger clientele.

What a perfect comparison to say that their business, history and strength in the jewelry community is much like the diamonds they sell…Strong, clear and sparkling.

Whether you’re looking for a cocktail ring, charm bracelet, necklace, custom design, or that ever important engagement or wedding set, Merkley Kendrick is the perfect place to find what you’re looking for. They definitely bring to life their tag line, “Classic Taste. Infinite Style.”.

The patrons of Merkley Kendrick have been more than just customers, they have in some ways become members of the family. They’ve gone from receiving graduation gifts to purchasing their engagement rings to now purchasing “push gifts” for their wives and baby gifts for that new family addition.

With a wide selection of not only classic looks, but highly fashionable statement pieces, there is a piece of MK for any budget. You can find beautiful diamonds, wedding sets, custom designs, Rolex watches, and colorful stones. Most of which is  part of the sale that features some items up to 60% off their original price.

To learn more about the strong history of family and its roots in the jewelry business, you can find more on their website (

    www.mkjewelers.com

), in addition to bridal information, estate sale pieces and news and events.

You can contact Merkley Kendrick by phone
