Taste of Innovation (TOI) will be one of this city’s best tasting events. TOI, the signature party of IdeaFestival, brings together unlimited food and spirits from some of the region’s most creative chefs, restaurants, brewers, distillers and mixologists. Jamie Oller; one of the talented chefs’s participating in this event was kind enough to invite me into her kitchen and show one of their signature items. Jamie’s 14k Cupcakes brought Louisville the very first “Cupcake Push Pop’. It is similar to the push-pop deserts from when you were a kid, but with delicious cupcakes instead of a frozen treat.

The bakery is located at 938 Baxter Avenue in the Highlands District of Louisville, KY located across the street from Papalino’s NY Pizzeria.  Jamie’s 14k Cupcakes is a proud member of Louisville Independent Business Alliance and Kentucky Proud.  Serving local and organic products as much as possible and also selling local merchandise to help support other local businesses.

Jamie’s 14k Cupcakes proudly serves cupcakes, mini cupcakes, vegan cupcakes, gluten free cupcakes, Whoopie Pies, Cupcake Push Pops, Cake Truffles, Jar Cake Truffles, Marshmallow Pops, Cupcake Bouquets, Sheet Cakes, Cupcake Cakes, Specialty and Wedding Cakes. Also serving up delicious beverages; Heine Bros Coffee, Yerba Mate Hot Tea, Chai Tea Latte, Rooibee Red Tea, Hot Tea By: Elmwood Inn Fine Teas,  Real Fruit  Smoothies, Izze Sodas, Coconut Water and Horizon Organic Milk.

They realize that consumers look for the Kentucky Proud brand for fresh, nutritious, great-tasting food that you can serve to your families. As members of Kentucky Proud they serve quality food and try to keep as many of their ingredients from Kentucky as they can. However, not all of their ingredients are local, but they do strive to keep their business local as much as possible.

Keep Louisville Sweet – As members of Louisville Independent Business Alliance (LIBA) they are locally-owned and operated to keep with the unique character of the Louisville Metro community. Jamie’s 14k Cupcakes is aiming to keep themselves and other local businesses thriving; circulating money in and strengthening the local economy. They also have a natural interest in our community with their owner, Jamie Oller, chairing children’s events, serving on boards and donating to numerous non-profits charitable endeavors.

Jamie’s 14k Cupcakes will be serving up a new recipe too sweet to spoil; those with a sweet tooth will not be disappointed. I can assure you that it will be as delicious as the Cupcake Push Pop; but you can be the judge… Visit the bakery located on Baxter Avenue or purchase a ticket to the 2011 Taste of Innovation taking place at Churchill Downs – Millionaires Row 4 to taste her amazing cupcakes. About Bella Portaro

Happiness Cultivator. Blogger. Writer. Social Media and PR Maven. Dreamer. Louisville Lover. Blogger at Bella of Louisville; a lifestyle blog. A lifestyle is- by definition to me - the way in which one chooses to live their life. As I’ve entered into this chapter / book of my life with a strong understanding of who I am, lifestyle has become about the art of living well. This idea goes beyond creating a beautiful home and investing in my wardrobe. Living well means being kind, being good company, contributing to your community, and becoming a person of substance and grace. If designing a life full of substance and grace isn’t aspirational, I don’t know what else is. I love writing about events and things to do in Louisville. I hope you enjoy my posts and connect with me on social media!
