Wedding professionals in Louisville happily rolled out the red carpet for couples Friday evening for one of the largest wedding show in town. Colorfully constructed lights in the Cascade Ballroom added a special ‘pink’ ambiance for the event as young brides-to-be filed into bustling room the wedding event of the year.
Young women were aglow while imaging their beautiful day as they walked through the room, gathering materials, asking questions, and carefully planning their wedding in their heads. The more than 100 professionals in Louisville ranged from photographers, florists, caterers, cake designers, dress makers, venues representatives, and disc jockeys. The inviting aroma of locally inspired fare filled the room as guests sampled food that goes beyond the boring ham sandwiches. The assembly of these event specialists made for an easy one-stop shop for area brides.
The booths, which provided for easy navigation through the show, enabled florists to showcase potential arrangements from the bouquets to the center pieces, while permitting caterers to lay out ornamental table dressings to compliment to delicious food. Fully dressed mannequins displayed the tedious and hard work of designers who brought dresses, tuxedoes, and accessories for the entire wedding party. Jewelry designers displayed headpieces, necklaces, and veils to bring together the ensemble.
The more than 100 vendors in attendance also found this event to be helpful in planning their upcoming busy wedding season, for both this and next year.
