Bit to Do [1]
By Ashlie Danielle Stevens [3]

Olga-Maria Cruz

Olga-Maria has published several essays, including one in the courier-journal. Her chapbook, A Philosopher Speaks of Rivers, was published with Finishing Line Press, and her poems have appeared in journals including Ars Interpres, Poetry East, The Chaffin Journal, and Limestone.

What she’s reading:

“Right this minute, I’m reading Gilgamesh by Joan London.  It's amazing—it just jumped out at me from the library shelf. I just finished The Circle by Dave Eggers. I'm a big fan. There’s lots of negative critique out there, but I loved it from beginning to end, and I actually think it's important. I picked it up because I read an excerpt in the New Yorker magazine last year and it completely intrigued and entertained me.

I’m always reading the New Yorker short fiction. And as for non-fiction right now, I’m reading Awakening Shakti,  by Sally Kempton. It explores the goddess traditions of yoga and I find it fascinating and inspiring for my practice & my teaching.”
