“The first book that's worth mentioning is Fatale, an Image Comics title written by Ed Brubaker with art by Sean Philips. Fatale is a brilliant blending of Ed Brubaker's signature noir style with a perfect dose of supernatural horror. What amplifies the book further is the art from his frequent collaborator, Sean Philips. These two are the equivalent to any classic Actor/Director in Hollywood. They know the ins and outs of each other's styles, which always leads to some fantastic comics.
Next up is Avengers Assemble, a Marvel Comics title written by Kurt Busiek with art by George Perez. This book is essentially a love letter to the 40 plus years of past Avengers history and characters. In spite of the fact that it's over 15 years old, this comic storyline is still a worthy edition for anyone looking to read some stellar Avengers comics.
The last book that I've been hooked on is Brian Azzarello's Wonder Woman, published by DC Comics. Wonder Woman is simply one of those titles that you need to read for yourself, but in short it's one of the most entertaining and heartfelt books that DC publishes. This book is something that everyone should pick up, regardless of age or gender. If you're looking for meticulously plotted stories with a strong female character, then ‘Wonder Woman’ is the book for you."
