(February 18, 2010) Louisville, KY -- The third annual Sushi in the City, aimed at introducing young professionals to Family Scholar House, will be held on March 16th at the Henry Clay from 6:00 - 9:30 pm. Tickets are $50 in advance and $60 at the door.
“This is my first year as chair and I am really excited to introduce some new flair to an already very popular event,” says Holly Hruska Isaacs, Director of Sales, Brown Jordan International. “The crowd has grown every year, introducing more people to this amazing cause. We expect a record breaking turnout this year!"
This year the competition will be fierce, but there will be more awards to be won. Awards include: "Best Sushi in the City", "People’s Choice", "Best Presentation" and "Most Original." Local celebrity judges, as well as attendees, will vote to decide the winners in these categories. Last year, Z's Fusion was declared winner by the Judges Vote, while Sake Blue won the People’s Choice award. Participating sushi restaurants including Oasis Sushi & Bendoya, Z’s Fusion and Sake Blue will share their signature sushi rolls.
“Sushi In The City is a great way for the community to come out and have a good time, while helping our families at the Family Scholar House,” says Cathe Dykstra, President and CEO of Family Scholar House. "In the past two years, the patrons who attended this event have become mentors, volunteers and donors to our program. We hope this year brings some current supporters and new friends so we can further spread the word about Family Scholar House."
