    F.A.T. Friday SoCo Halloween Hop

    Several restaurants along the Avenue will host Southern Comfort drink specials, retailers will feature costume contests, live music, and various tricks and treats. Hoppers can also enjoy free candy and are encouraged to dress in costume! The F.A.T. Friday Trolley Hop, held year-round on the final Friday of every month, provides free parking and transportation to participating shops, restaurants and galleries along the Frankfort, Mellwood and Story Avenue corridor.     Boo Dell "No Fright" Halloween Party at Yew Dell

    Boo Dell is the place to be with the kids for this fun and laid back Halloween affair offered in collaboration with the Oldham County Public Library. Kids can enjoy trick-or-treating along the Trail-o-Treats (11am-2pm) – dozens of local merchants in costumes and decorated booths around the gardens. Hay rides for all and a performance by the incomparable Mr. Magic (2-3pm) make for a great day. Decorate a Jack-o-Lantern to look like your favorite character from a book and enter it in the Book-O-Lantern contest! But be sure to come early. This event attracts a large crowd!

    Tim O’Brien & Bryan Sutton in concert

    The Clifton Center is pleased to present a concert by two of the most acclaimed acoustic musicians in the world, Tim O’Brien & Bryan Sutton, on Saturday, October 29th at 8:00 p.m. The two are joining forces for a rare duet performance and will present an evening of bluegrass, country, folk, and Americana music, as well as exceptional original material, twisted wit and fretboard pyrotechnics of the highest order. The show is part of the MINI of Louisville LIVE at the Clifton Center Concert Series, and it will be held in the Clifton Center’s Eifler Theatre, located at 2117 Payne Street.     The Monster Crash 2011

    This is the world of the Monster Crash, a Halloween party so delightfully devilish, so terrifically terrifying, so blood curdling-ly booty shaking, it will ensnare you in its ghoulish grasp until you’re howling for more!

    First off, you must know…. This is NOT just another Louisville Crashers show!! We have planned every aspect of this event ourselves, and there will be plenty of surprises! (Hint: The Crashers will not be the only entertainment for the evening…)

    This event will be at The Grand in New Albany, Indiana on October 29, 2011. You may enter (if you dare…) at 8:00 p.m.

    You will be able to reserve tickets on Saturday, September 3rd at the Crashers merchandise booth at the Riverstage show in Jeffersonville. They will be $12 in advance, $15 on the day of the show. This will be non-smoking and no one under 21 will be allowed.

    Costumes are not required. However, if you show up without one, you will be the first to be fed to the zombies. There will be prizes for the best costumes in the following categories;
    Most original costume
    Best female costume
    Best male costume
    Best couple costume

    7th Annual Victorian Ghost Walk

    Join the Old Louisville neighborhood as its amateur and professional actors come together to put on a spectacle of community theater known as the Victorian Ghost Walk. Written by David Dominé, author of the bestselling Ghosts of Old Louisville series, and directed by veteran New York actor Ronald Lew Harris, this outdoor play showcases the spooky history of America’s most haunted neighborhood. Every 15 minutes between 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. a different group of revelers departs the Old Louisville Information Center to roam the streets and hear storytellers, in costumes by Louise Cecil, recount ghostly tales from the past. The last tour departs at 9:00 p.m. and tours last between 90 minutes and two hours. Among those returning from dead are the Stick Witch, the ghosts of Annie Whipple, the Ice Boy, Alfred Victor Dupont and Jennie Bowman. With the backdrop of beautiful 19th-century architecture and gaslit walkways, it's sure to be a spirited evening in Old Louisville - America's Most Haunted Neighborhood!
     
    The 2011 Victorian Ghost Walk will take place on four nights this year: October 28, 29, 30 & 31.

    Tours leave every 15 minutes; the last one leaves at 9:00 p.m.

    Evil Dead: The Musical

    The sold out campy horror musical sensation of 2009 returns to The Alley Theater in Louisville for 2011 with more effects, more fun, and of course more blood!

    Join Ash and his friends as thier trip to an old abandoned cabin int the woods turns into a hysterical nightmare as evil forces take them over one by one.  Based on Sam Raimi's "Evil Dead" films, and poking good fun at the American Musical, this show is a bloody, campy, singing and dancing treat for the halloween season.

    All tickets are General Admission and the SplatterZone (the first rows of the theater, where you are guarenteed to be covered in blood) has been expanded.

    Haunted Peep Show Dance Party

    On Halloween the Vernon Club will be turned into a sexy haunted house with Lexington's stunning and innovative burlesque troop Rebel Riot Revue.  The haunted house leads to a dance floor with hip shaking DJ's Matt Anthony and Duffy.  Matt Anthony hosts WFPK Radio Louisville's  Friday Night Sound-Clash.  DJ Duffy and Matt Anthony have packed the floor of venues around town (Headliners, Zanzabar, the Monkey Wrench) hosting ever popular dance nights. The ladies's ring leader is Louisville's burlesque renaissance queen, HOT DAMN!  She worked with Cirque Airotic Burlesque troop and host's parties around the country.

    To make it even more enticing the Vernon Club dating back to it's 1886 construction has been the home of ghosts with sightings throughout it's over a century history.  But our specters will be much friendlier with no nudity, but it is an 18 and over event with real scares. Costumes are of course encouraged. The haunted house runs for 2 hours from 8 till 10pm the dance floor goes till 1 a.m.
