    Vince Gill
    "the Ambassador of Country Music" will be kicking off the 2nd Annual
    Outdoor Summer Concert Series on Friday, May 22nd. Gill paid nearly a
    decade and a half of dues en route to becoming one of the most popular
    country stars of the '90s. Starting out as a bluegrass singer and
    multi-instrumentalist, he initially made his name with country-rockers
    Pure Prairie League, and spent the '80s as part of country's new
    traditionalist wing before finding massive success as a contemporary
    country hit maker. He achieved his big breakthrough with "When I Call
    Your Name," which won the Country Music Association's Single of the
    Year award. Since then, he has become one of the most successful
    artists in country music history with a record-breaking 18 CMA awards
    and 19 Grammy Awards, more than any other male Country music artist.

    Necessary Theatre presents MIRANDA BRANSON BRANSON MIRANDA, a world
    premiere by Louisville’s own Hank Willenbrink. Five years ago Miranda’s
    father, the Magician, made her mother disappear…or did he? Now Miranda
    is haunted by the two women her father sawed in half…nightly…who claim
    to be her Mother. Her best friend is horning in on her indie rock
    boyfriend, and the truth won’t set her free.

    Featuring TNT Artistic Director Tad Chitwood and veterans Cara
    Hicks, and Hallie Kirk, MIRANDA BRANSON BRANSON MIRANDA also showcases
    some of Louisville’s up and coming theater artists including Madeline
    Marchal, Aaron Craker, Jane Mattingly, and Madeleine Miller. The

    Description:

    An arts,
    folklore, and performance series that explores the history of blind
    entertainers. Patrick Henry Hughes started playing piano as a toddler,
    and also plays the trumpet and sings. He is a member of the U of L
    Marching Band, with help from his father (Patrick John Hughes), who
    tirelessly maneuvers his wheel chair through the band formations.
    Patrick Henry and his family achieved national fame after their
    appearance on ABC’s Extreme Home Makeover and today he performs all
    over the country. Admission is free but reservations are required.
