Waterfront Heritage Walk This free walking tour, led by local historian Rick Bell, will explore the history of Louisville’s riverfront and the development of today’s acclaimed Waterfront Park. Beginning at the Belle of Louisville’s landing at the Fourth Street wharf, the 90-minute tours will end at the base of the Big Four Bridge. Free Home tour at Blackacre Nature Preserve and Historic Homestead The Historic Presley Tyler house located within the Blackacre Nature Preserve will be open to the public on Sunday afternoons from 1pm - 5pm. Every Sunday (excluding holidays) through November visitors are encouraged to take a guided tour of the homestead and learn about the Tyler family that settled Blackacre in the late 1800's. The nature preserve also boasts an extensive trail system and is still home to some farm animals as well.
