The Louisville Blues-n-Barbecue Festival has been heating up mid-summer since 1998, offering you a chance to kick back and enjoy the intoxicating sounds of New Orleans and Memphis as well as outstanding barbecue. Parking is free. 5:00pm Summer Showdown Car Show & Silent Auction This is the 3rd Annual Summer Showdown Car Show & Silent Auction! The show will be hosted by the Michael Feger Paralysis Foundation. The first 100 vehicles to register will get a Dash Plaque and Goodie Bag. Trophies will be given to the Top 35 Cars/Trucks. Special Trophies include Best of Show +$100, People’s Choice, Kid’s Choice and Club Participation. We will also have a silent auction, music, food, door prizes, 50/50 and face painting for the kids. Registration at 10am Jane Austen Festival 2013 10:00am Great American Date Night at the Zoo Enjoy a taste of the classics with hits by Caribou and the movie Grease. Free with Zoo admission or Louisville Zoo membership. Music will start at 7 pm, while the movie begins at sundown. Zoo exhibits are open until 8 pm. Guests may bring lawn chairs and blankets for seating. No tents or canopies allowed. No alcoholic beverages or glass bottles permitted, but concessions will be available. Event subject to change pending weather conditions. 7:00pm Choose Your Own Science Adventure (July 21) This isn't your school's science club. We meet one Sunday afternoon a month and let participants drive the program. You pick books and articles, plan experiments, and lead discussions about relevant science topics. Past topics include zombies, science fiction, and robotics. Appropriate for students entering grades 6-8. 8 One Sunday afternoon a month 1:00pm Family Business Summer Picnic 2013 A family event open to all ages!
