    Matt Nathanson

An impressive 12-string guitar player and songwriter, San Francisco's Matt Nathanson has built up a loyal fan base through extensive touring. His live shows are stripped-down affairs, usually with just Nathanson and cellist Matt Fish on-stage, and are half music, half standup comedy, with the humor balancing out the frequently despondent introspection of the songs. Nathanson's songs have also been featured on several television shows, including Dawson's Creek, Smallville, and Road Rules.

    2012 Louisville Polar Plunge

The Polar Plunge is one of the biggest Special Olympics fundraisers of the year. The Plunge is a truly unique event and includes a fun, festive atmosphere with food and great prizes. The Plunge works just like a Walk-a-Thon, but with one big twist. Participants still solicit donations to support their effort (a, um, bear minimum of $75 to take part or $50 for Junior Plungers), but instead of walking, Polar Bears take a chilly dip into the Ohio River at Tumbleweed on the Waterfront. Last year, the Polar Plunge raised $357,000 to support the efforts of Special Olympics Kentucky athletes.

The Kentucky Center and Live Nation present Lewis Black: 'In God We Rust'

Lewis Black—stand-up comedian, actor and author—is one of the most prolific and popular performers working today. Not one to rest on his laurels, Black continues to hone his craft by performing in front of live audiences 200 nights a year in venues such as Carnegie Hall and the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. A passionate performer who is more of a pissed-off optimist than a mean-spirited curmudgeon, Lewis Black is that rare comic who can cause an audience to laugh themselves into incontinence while making compelling points about the absurdity of our world.
