Give-A-Jam To End Homelessness at The Clifton Center The Third Annual Give-A-Jam to End Homelessness is an opportunity for local musicians, artists, chefs, and the rest of us to do something about homelessness in our community. Part concert, part theater extravaganza, part culinary adventure, the event will feature short performances by some of Louisville's most beloved musicians and artists. In addition, some of Louisville's finest chefs will provide soups and stews which will be sold to raise funds for the Coalition's Rx: Housing Project. The first two Give-A-Jam concerts raised more than $23,000 for the Coalition for the Homeless. December 19, 6-9 p.m. Actors Theatre of Louisville presents: A Christmas Carol Join the Actors Theatre of Louisville as they present Louisville's biggest and best holiday tradition, sponsored by Fifth Third Bank. Charles Dickens' classic tale of the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge has been thrilling readers for 170 years, and has been endlessly adapted to television, movie, and stage performances. December 19, 7-9 p.m. 12 Ales of Christmas Tour - Presented by Buckhead Mountain Grill Join Buckhead's for their 12 ALES of Christmas tour, get your tour card and receive a commemorative long sleeve t-shirt. Each night they'll be featuring a glass giveaway starting at 5:00 pm with the featured beer on tour, while supplies last, so get there early! Known for his soulful baritone singing style, Michael McDonald is sure to put on a great show celebrating the most wonderful time of the year. December 20, 8-10 p.m. Holdin' Horses at Manny and Merle With their love and dedication to country music and their rock based roots, this Central Kentucky band, whose members hail from various parts of the state, have created a heavy, driving, melodic country rock sound they can truly call their own. These Kentucky boys bring a look and sound to the stage unlike any other band and they want to share the experience with you! December 20, 10 p.m. to midnight Pheonix Hill's Christmas Weekend Celebration Join Phoenix Hill for their annual Christmas celebration! The celebration includes a ugly Christmas sweater contest and other activities and specials. High Hat Entertainment presents Shut It Down with Boombox Poets, Stereo Empire, The Black Math, and Haywood & Davis. Slinky Jenkins will also perform on Friday. Come relax and celebrate! December 22, 1:30-7:30 p.m. The Kings of Christmas (Closing Performance) at the Bard's Town Bard Theatre's hit holiday show returns for the final performance in its third and final season. It’s Christmas, and middle son Carter King has returned home for what he hopes will be his last family Christmas. Ten years after the death of his father, the family appears in shambles, and the mystery of a dead cat pervades the family gathering. Is the family cat dead?
