    Jars of Clay Christmas Tour at Headliners Music Hall
    Multiple Platinum and Grammy winning band Jars of Clay brings its December “Inland Christmas Tour” to Louisville, KY Dec. 12 with special guest John Mark McMillan. The tour benefits the Blood:Water Mission and promises to be a multi-instrumental and musically collaborative experience with Jars of Clay performing a combination of Christmas music, fan favorites and selections from its current album.

    Holiday Trains Exhibit at Yew Dell
    Have you ever seen an entire town inside a castle? Climb aboard and bring the kids (and grandkids too!) to Yew Dell this holiday season for the popular Yew Dell Gardens Express – a fabulous snow village and model train display. This magical exhibit has been created by master model builder Bob Irmscher with support from some of the most talented model train enthusiasts in the region. In addition to the trains, kids of all ages will enjoy scavenger hunts, visits from Santa this December! Bring your cameras! This is the final weekend for this exhibit!

    Christmastide at Locust Grove
    Enter the year 1816 ...the Clark & Croghan families invite you into their home to visit and to partake of holiday cheer. The home is decorated in a manner appropriate for the “country seat” of Major William Croghan and his distinguished relatives and guests. In the great parlor, live music and dancing await the guests, intermingled with concerts by a talented neighbor. You’ll be engaged in lively conversations with family and guests. Out in the hearth kitchen, recently harvested foods are prepared over an open fire and refreshments are offered to guests. In the Visitors’ Center, there will be music, refreshments, storytelling, dancing and a craft time for children 3 & older from 6:00-8:00 p.m. each day.

    2013 Olde Tyme Christmas Celebration on Frankfort Avenue
    The 18th Annual Olde Tyme Christmas Celebration on Frankfort Avenue will include the festive Dog Walk, retail sales, live music, refreshments, and photos with Santa Claus at Margaret’s Consignment from 12:00pm-3:00pm. Free trolley and horse and carriage rides along Frankfort Avenue (from Mellwood to Stiltz Avenue) will be available from 12:00pm-5:00pm.

    Flea Off Market Holiday Bazaar
    Rescheduled from last weekend, the Flea Off Market Holiday Bazaar will be a place where Louisvillians can engage in some super-local commerce, get some holiday shopping done, eat, drink, socialize, and have a good time. The Flea is planning on having food trucks, live music, hot toddies, eggnog, local craft beer, free s'mores, and mores!
