On Friday, October 26th at 7 PM, Carmichael's will host Mike Mullin for a signing of "Ashen Winter," the second book in the popular "Ashfall" young adult series about the eruption of a supervolcano in Yellowstone National Park. In "Ashen Winter," Alex and Darla must retrace their journey into Iowa to find and bring back Alex’s parents to the tenuous safety of Illinois. But the landscape they cross is even more perilous than before, with life-and-death battles for food and power between the remaining communities.
