Winston’s restaurant, in conjunction with Justin Vineyard and Winery in Paso Robles, Calif., Southern Wines and Spirits and Westport Whiskey and Wine, will hold a wine tasting event benefiting Blessings in a Backpack on Friday, Feb. 17. Blessings in a Backpack is a program that provides weekend nourishment to school children on the federal free and reduced meal plan. They rely on fundraising to support children in need, and the event at Winston’s will help to sustain the program in the Louisville area. The wine tasting takes place from 6 to 9 p.m., and the cost is $25 per person, which includes a tasting of four Justin Vineyard and Winery wines and hors d’oeuvres prepared by Winston’s chefs and culinary students. Justin wines by the bottle will also be made available for those dining at Winston’s during the weekend of February 17th and 18th. For each bottle sold, $5 will be donated to Blessings in a Backpack.
