Planes will take to the skies over the Steve Henry Airfield in E.P. “Tom” Sawyer Park for the Wings for Kids event on June 4 and 5. The event will benefit Kosair Children's Hospital through the Children’s Hospital Foundation. The 13th annual event is hosted by the Radio City Radio Controllers and features radio controlled airplane flying exhibitions, including aerobatic airplanes, Warbirds from World War I and World War II, turbine-powered jet aircraft and scale vintage planes. This event also features fun activities for the whole family, including a candy drop, inflatables for children, flight simulators and a chance to win cash prizes in an egg drop. The event is Saturday, June 4 and Sunday, June 5 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Steve Henry Airfield in E.P. “Tom” Sawyer Park. Admission is $3 per person or $10 per car.
