A fact-based, fictionalized musical docu-drama celebrating Jenny Lind's April 1851 performances in Louisville, KY will make its debut at the Clifton Center. Audiences will see a re-creation of Jenny Lind's performance in Louisville's Mozart Hall, which in 1851 had just opened at the corner of Fourth & Jefferson streets. Featured will be such characters as P.T. Barnum (her manager), General Tom Thumb, composer Stephen Foster and Henry Clay; and hear popular music of the period performed in Louisville. The show reveals how "My Old Kentucky Home" made its public debut with Jenny Lind in Louisville.
