The WFPK Waterfront Wednesday® Concert Series is a monthly free live concert on the Big Four Lawn in Louisville Waterfront Park that showcases local and emerging national recording artists. This month’s lineup will feature The Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band, The Lone Bellow and The Staves. Each free concert attracts large audiences to mingle, dance and enjoy the river in a family-friendly park atmosphere with a cash bar and upscale festival fare. Listed on the Southeast Tourism Society’s list of Top 20 Events, WFPK Waterfront Wednesday has become a thriving city institution; drawing thousands to Waterfront Park and helping Louisville secure an international award as a top city for festivals.
The concerts take place on the last Wednesday of every month, April through September. Dates for the 2013 season are April 24, May 29, June 26, July 31, August 28, and September 25. The Big Four Lawn “opens” at 5pm, and the music begins promptly at 6pm.
