Varanese, a popular restaurant located at 2106 Frankfort Avenue in the historic Clifton neighborhood, will celebrate its 7th anniversary on Wednesday, August 20th by featuring $7 drink specials, half-priced bottles of wine, $7 appetizers, complimentary passed hors d'oeuvres from 5pm to 6pm, and complimentary anniversary cake made by Chef Varanese himself. In addition, from Monday, August 18 through Thursday, August 21, Varanese will offer $7 drink specials and select appetizers made from local organic productsfor only $7, in honor of the anniversary.
Chef Varanese has recently been noticed for his passion and talent for cooking with bourbon, and he was selected as the guest chef for this year's Kentucky Bourbon Festival Bourbon-style Cooking School event on Thursday, September 18, alongside Booker Noe's son and Jim Beam's grandson Fred Noe. Varanese is an official stop on the Urban Bourbon Trail, and the restaurant offers frequent bourbon dinners and bourbon-infused dishes on the regular menu like Bourbon Barrel Smoked Pork Chop, Bourbon Salmon and Bread Pudding with a bourbon caramel sauce.
Varanese, which features an eclectic menu of New American Cuisine, can comfortably seat 150 guests between the bar, dining room and four seasons patio, and can accommodate large parties hosting special events in the private dining area.
