The Utica Homecoming Festival is an annual event which began in 1998. This year the festival and parade will be held on Friday, September 2 and Saturday, September 3.
Our facilities are handicap accessible and special parking is available. The facilities include an air-conditioned dining room serving smoked pulled barbque pork, fried chicken and fish and baked potatoes. Or head out to the shelter house and grab a hot dog, fries, soft-serve ice cream, desserts and other good olde festival food. We serve Coke products.
Bringing the family...well enjoy the best family friendly childrens park in Southern Indiana. The biggest and baddest bounce houses around, along with cheap kiddie games and golf put. One charge of $5 gets a kid in and out all day. And if your kids like balloons, Hawkeye Security will be doing balloon twisters.
On Friday evening sit and relax as you enjoy a free "Elvis" concert. But if you're looking for more excitement, join us in the dining room for a Texas Holdem and crap shoot. Can't wait for basketball season...well watch the Cops vs Firefighters, to raise money for the Shop with a Cop and Crusade for Children. Later you can while the evening away listening to or participating in some good karaoke at the gazebo.
On Saturday start the day off a 11 am with the BEST TOWN PARADE around. Headlining the parade this year will be the River City Drum Corp who will give a show you'll never forget. This year's parade is in memory of the 10th anniversary of September 11 and there will be military, police, fire and ems participation. Bring the kids to meet and greet with Buddy Bat. Like cars? There will be everything from Model A Club Cars to muscle cars, Car show follows the parade. So bring your lawn chairs, you'll love it.
