UofL Family Business Center hosts old-fashioned summer picnic
in celebration of community family-owned businesses

WHAT: Third-Annual Family Business Summer Picnic
An old-fashioned summer picnic including square-dancing, hayrides and a traditional Southern chicken supper are just a few of the activities planned “to celebrate” family-owned business in our community. Wine-tastings and vineyard tours for adults and the family fun park for kids will also be available. The Family Fun Park includes a mountain slide, bamboo maze, pedal karts, goat walk, pony rides, the Huber Mining Company and much more.

WHEN: Sunday, July 15, 2012 from 1 p.m. till 5 p.m.

WHO: Family-owned business owners and their families. The picnic is free to FBC members and guests, as well as non-member family businesses. Registrations are required for all family members in attendance. Register online at www.regonline.com/fbcpicnic2012 by July 9.

WHERE: Huber’s Orchard, Winery, and Vineyards in Starlight, Indiana.
Huber’s Orchard, Winery, & Vineyards is located near Starlight, Indiana, at 19816 Huber Road. Travel time is approximately half an hour from downtown Louisville. Follow directional signage posted off interstates I-65 (exit 9) and I-64 (exit 119).

WHY: The mission of the Family Business Center at the UofL is to inform, celebrate and strengthen family firms in the region. An old-fashioned summer picnic occurs annually to celebrate area family-owned businesses.
