March 5th commemorates the 50th Anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s march on the state capitol of Frankfort. The governor’s mansion is also commemorating its centennial this year. There will be public tours of the governor’s mansion this day. This national landmark has been home to 25 Kentucky governors and is one of only a handful of executive residences in the United States to be open to the public for tours.
