A Brief Head Spin is the third studio album (first as a solo artist) from musician TOM MCBRIDE, the Boston-area native who now calls Washington DC home. The 10-song record reflects a transition for the songwriter, towards a more cinematic, Americana style, with McBride’s dynamic voice the center of attention. (McBride studied voice at the Blair School of Music conservatory in Nashville, TN and is the grandson of Francesco Albanese, an Italian lyric tenor from the 1940′s and 1950′s.) For A Brief Head Spin, McBride teamed-up with his long-time friend and drummer for Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Sean Greenhalgh, to produce the record with him and is released under McBride’s own label Humpback Records. Over the past two years, McBride has shared the stage with artists Dawes, Ellis Paul, The Bogmen, Dan Bern, Dead Heart Bloom among many others, playing 100+ shows in the past two years and recently featured at both the 2010 CMJ Music Festival in New York City and the 2010 Dewey Beach Music Conference.
