Golf scramble is held in honor of Kosair Kid® Pam Miller, who sadly lost her battle with breast cancer in 2010. Kosair Charities is the beneficiary for proceeds from the day’s events, including the golf scramble, fun games, raffle, silent auction, and lunch. Pam Miller was born into a large family on May 22, 1960. Her strength was revealed at a young age when she contracted Polio. With the help of Kosair Charities, Pam walked again. She was known for her grit, positive attitude, smile, and huge heart. In 2005, Pam began her long, hard fought battle with breast cancer. Pam never wanted her life to be defined by breast cancer and to those that knew her, it never was. Instead, it was defined by the people whose lives she touched along the way. Last year, the Pam Miller Memorial Golf Scramble raised over $11,000 for Kosair Kids®.
