Saturday, November 19th from 1:00pm-4:00pm
The Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft, 715 W. Main Street, will host a Thanksgiving Center piece workshop taught by artist Jan Banta-Briseno. Participants will be provided with a cleaned gourd and the popular “zentangle” designs will be used as a backdrop for all the fall favorites - sunflowers, berries, leaves and more. Patterns will be provided or students may draw free-hand if they choose, and then the designs will be rendered in pen or wood-burned as desired. Bright fall colors will be added using inks or oil pencils. Open to adults and teens. The cost is $43 for KMAC members and $48 for non-members. To register, call (502) 589-0102 or email julie@kentuckyarts.org.
